My wife and I have raised money for legitimate refugees the last two Octobers by biking, and my wife went to Haiti for a week in April to help out in a hospital as a nurse. I wrote about these ventures in the weekly bulletin because I didn't feel comfortable asking people in person. You have more nerve than I do! Kudos. Don't be discouraged if you don't get as much support as you would hope. Teachers don't even pay their staff fee for goodness sake, at least not promptly! Between family, friends and colleagues we did however manage to raise $5000. Not too shabby! You have to ask a lot of people though. Have fun! :)

Yoga Aid provides this service free of charge. Only Paypal fees are deducted from your donation to the chosen charity.
