About Me  
I walked into my first class at Dancing Mind Yoga having a “bad day” and walked out smiling. I had no idea what had changed but I felt great. Slowly but surely I began replacing my daily gym routines with classes and workshops at the studio, and here I am teaching yoga. Practicing yoga has and continues to give me insight into my own life. I want to share the joy, confidence, stress-release, excitement and freedom that I have experienced with all of my students. I started my yoga training with Paula Baake at Dancing Mind Yoga. In February 2010 I attended Teacher Training Level 1 with Baron Baptiste and will be attending Teacher Training Level 2 in Austin, Texas this summer (I can’t wait!!!!). When I am not practicing yoga you can find me at George Mason University where I am completing my degree in Exercise Science to complete my pre-requisites for a Physical Therapy doctorate program. Random interesting facts about Kristen: Taught preschool for five years, is deaf in her right ear, loves the Outer Banks, North Carolina and hiking.
