Manjushree Orphanage at 11,000 feet, in a remote corner of the Himalayas, over 150 children
currently eat, sleep and are schooled at Manjushree Orphanage in India.
Manjushree was founded by
Lama Thupten Phuntsok in 1998 with initial resources sufficient to house only 17 children. With the help
of a higher education fund, these children then enter the world as confident young adults full of peace,
love and compassion for others.
Currently accommodation consists of two dormitories, with 75 girls and
boys respectively in each.
Supporters of Manjushree will be helping to construct a new dormitory for
boys enabling both girls and boys to have more space to study, rest and play.
