About Me  
Genevieve Stynes was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia and has several loves in her life but the top 3 are her love of her family and friends, her love of movement (dance) and her love of yoga. In 1988 she graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts with a diploma in Dance Performance. This passion for dance took her to Sydney, London and New York City, where she got to live not only great dance experiences but amazing cities and the beat that they run on. Her return to Sydney the second time brought about a change in passions where she hung up the dancing shoes and graduated from the Sydney Yoga Centre Teacher Training Course in 1997. She taught at the Sydney Yoga Centre for a year and also began in that year, her concept of taking yoga to people, which she brought on her return to Perth in 1999, Yoga At Your Place. She loves that with “YAYP”, people no longer see their bathroom or kitchen bench as somewhere to put the toothbrush or to chop up vegies, but a place people can do supported Uhitta Padangusthasana (if you don’t know what that is, look it up and give it a go) or a chest opener stretch. Along with her career keeping her on the go, she has two beautiful children, who really are her reason for getting out of bed in the morning...otherwise she’d still be asleep :)
