About Me
Time and time again, I have found yoga to be the most effective, elegant, and holistic method of balancing my body, mind and spirit. My practice has supported me through many challenges and shed light on many new opportunities for growth. I love the practice because it offers me an opportunity to play, be introspective and to share something deeply true about myself all at the same time! Since originally being introduced to yoga through the Ashtanga lineage, I have branched out to try many different styles of yoga including Iyengar, Anusara, Kundalini, and Yin Yoga. Nowadays, I try to incorporate all styles of yoga into my practice and teachings in a way that inspires students to find the spiritual in the physical, the esoteric in the everyday. As an instructor, my goal in every class is to create a well-rounded sequence that will inspire the intrinsic alignment that we are all aspiring to. I believe deeply in breathing, alignment and a sense of humour. You will be inspired to try new postures that challenge you and to find challenges in postures you already know. Every student comes to yoga class for a different reason, be it health, weight management, breath control or a little space to release the tensions in their life. I want my students to find exactly what they are looking for in my class, as well as some things that perhaps, they weren’t expecting. I currently teach and manage studios for YYoga in Vancouver, previously at the Highgate location in Burnaby and now the South Granville location in Kitsilano.
